The GLOCK 45C (V) takes the proven crossover formula and adds a factory compensator cut, giving you a 9mm that genuinely shoots flatter than its size would suggest. It mates a compact-length slide with a full-size grip frame, so you get a shorter, quicker-cycling slide paired with a longer grip that fills the hand and gives you real purchase for recoil control. The ported barrel and slide vent gas upward, pushing against muzzle rise during rapid fire, which keeps your sights settled between shots.
This is a V-Series gun, which means it carries GLOCK's latest round of internal updates, including revised trigger bar geometry and a redesigned rear slide cover plate. The frame drops the finger grooves and adds an ambidextrous slide stop, and front serrations give you a solid grip for press checks and loading. Up top you get the 4.02-inch GLOCK Marksman Barrel, a tighter, more accurate barrel than the older generations, finished in GLOCK's hard-wearing black nDLC coating that fights corrosion and holds up to heavy use.
That compact slide cuts reciprocating mass, so the gun cycles fast and handles quick during presentations and transitions. The full-size grip gives you more leverage and faster, cleaner reloads thanks to the flared magwell. For anyone who likes the G45 platform but wants a little extra help keeping the muzzle down, the compensated 45C V is about as close to a bolt-on upgrade as you can get straight from the factory. It's a natural fit for range work, home defense, or duty-style carry where control matters.
The 45C V has ports cut into the front of the barrel and slide that vent gas upward as the round fires. That upward push counteracts muzzle rise, so the gun stays flatter during rapid fire and your sights settle faster between shots. No. This is the standard non-MOS version, so the slide is not cut for a red dot and does not include an optic mounting plate. If you want to run an optic on the 45C platform, you'd be looking at a different MOS model.
