This Long sRx muzzle brake threads onto any 1/2-28 barrel and does double duty, taming recoil and muzzle rise while serving as the mounting point for your suppressor. Pair it with the sRx Adapter (YHM-4400, sold separately) and you can move one can between rifles in seconds instead of wrenching a direct-thread suppressor on and off every time.
The trick is the big internal taper machined in front of the threads. When the adapter cinches down on the brake, that taper locks everything up tight and seals out gas, so carbon never gets a chance to bake onto the threads. Anyone who has fought a carbon-welded suppressor mount knows exactly why that matters. Yes, the brake is half of the system. You also need the YHM sRx Adapter (YHM-4400), which threads into any suppressor with the standard 1-3/8×24 HUB interface. The adapter and brake lock together over the internal taper to give you the quick-detach function.
As long as the suppressor accepts the industry standard 1-3/8×24 HUB thread pattern, the sRx Adapter will screw right in and mate with this brake. That covers a big chunk of the modern suppressor market, not just YHM cans like the Fat Cat. Direct-thread-only suppressors without a HUB mount will not work with this system.
