The Yankee Hill Machine A3 Upper Receiver is one of those parts that just makes an AR-15 build easier. It shows up assembled with the forward assist and dust cover already installed, so you can bolt on a barrel, drop in your bolt carrier group, and mate it to a mil-spec lower without hunting down extra small parts. It's forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and machined start to finish at the YHM shop, which is a big part of why the fit tends to be tight and consistent instead of rattly.
This is a true A3 flat-top, meaning you get a full-length Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny rail up top with T-markings so you can note optic and mount positions and return to them later. The M4-style feed ramps are cut to match modern M4 barrel extensions, which helps rounds chamber smoothly when things get hot and dirty. The interior is coated with dry film lube to cut friction on the bolt carrier and give the internals a little extra protection.
Because it's built to mil-spec dimensions, this upper accepts standard AR-15 upper parts and pins right up to any mil-spec lower receiver. That makes it a flexible foundation whether you're piecing together a first rifle, swapping calibers with a new barrel, or just want a fresh receiver to base a project around. The hardcoat Type III anodized finish in matte black holds up to real-world handling and range time.
