The XS Sights R3D 2.0 takes a proven notch-and-post setup and sharpens it for the little Glocks. This green set drops right onto the Glock 42, 43, 43X, and 48, and it pairs a Swiss-made tritium vial with XS's photoluminescent Glow Dot on the front post. The result is a front sight that pulls your eye forward in bright sun, low light, or full dark, so you're focusing where it counts instead of hunting for the sight.
The big change on the 2.0 is the rear. XS went with larger, brighter tritium lamps than the first-gen R3D, and wrapped them in a black PVC ring that gives the lamps a crisp, defined edge. That keeps the two rear dots from washing out and helps them stay clearly separate from the brighter front dot, so your sight alignment reads fast even when the light is bad. The rear face is serrated and anti-reflective to knock down glare, and it carries a ledge you can hook on a belt or boot heel for one-handed slide work.
The front post runs 0.145 inches wide and the rear notch opens up to 0.170 inches, which leaves a little daylight on either side of the front sight. That extra window makes for quicker, more forgiving alignment when you're moving fast or working in the dark. Up front you get a green tritium lamp ringed by a green Glow Dot that soaks up ambient light and keeps glowing when the sun goes down.
These are CNC-machined from solid steel bar stock in Fort Worth and finished in Black Nitride, which shrugs off sweat, humidity, and the general wear that comes with a gun you carry every day. XS revised the dovetail on the 2.0 with a lead-in chamfer and crush zone, so the rear seats with noticeably less force whether you run a sight pusher or take the hammer-and-punch route. The tritium is rated to glow for a solid dozen years.

You can. XS revised the dovetail with a lead-in chamfer and crush zone so the rear seats with about 50 percent less force, and the set can go on with a sight pusher tool or the classic hammer-and-punch method. The kit ships with a front sight tool and thread locker, and XS posts written and video instructions if you want to follow along.
The tritium lamps are rated to glow for roughly 12 years, backed by XS's 12-year tritium warranty. The front also has a photoluminescent Glow Dot that charges off ambient light or a quick hit from a flashlight, so you get an extra layer of visibility on top of the tritium.
The 2.0 uses larger, brighter tritium lamps in the rear so it reads easier in low light, and it adds black PVC rings around the rear dots to sharpen the sight picture and separate them from the front dot. XS also reworked the dovetail geometry for an easier install.
