Description
The XS Sights R3D 2.0 is a suppressor-height night sight set built to solve two of the most common gripes with factory Glock sights: plastic construction and a sight picture that washes out in tough lighting. This set swaps all that for a solid steel front and rear, a Swiss-made tritium vial wrapped in XS's photoluminescent Glow Dot up front, and larger tritium lamps in the rear than you'd find on the standard R3D. The result is a classic three-dot notch-and-post picture that pops in daylight and stays visible when the sun goes down.
The taller suppressor height is the real draw here. That extra elevation lets the sights clear a mounted can, and it also raises them high enough to serve as backup irons on MOS and optic-cut Glocks. XS has tested and confirmed co-witness with the Trijicon RMR and SRO, the Holosun 507C series, and the Vortex Viper, so if you're running a red dot on a full-size Glock, these give you a reliable fallback when the electronics quit.
Where the R3D 2.0 Earns Its Keep
The front sight uses a green Glow Dot that soaks up ambient light for a bright, high-contrast aiming point, while the rear is serrated with an anti-reflective lens to kill glare on sunny days. A 0.170-inch wide rear notch leaves plenty of daylight on either side of the front post, which makes lining things up quick under stress. Black PVC rings around the rear tritium help define the lamps and keep your eye from confusing them with the front dot. There's also a ledge machined into the rear so you can rack the slide one-handed off a belt or boot heel if you ever need to.
Built for Daily Carry
Machined in-house from solid steel bar stock and finished in BlackNitride, this set is meant to shrug off sweat, humidity, and years of holster wear. The 2.0 revision reworked the dovetail dimensions to cut installation force by about half, so a sight pusher or a punch and hammer will get the job done. XS backs the tritium with a 12-year warranty, and the whole thing fits a huge swath of the Glock lineup across Gen 1 through 5.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the R3D 2.0 suppressor height sights co-witness with my red dot?
Yes, on full-size MOS and optic-cut Glocks these tall sights are designed to serve as backup irons alongside a mounted optic. XS has tested and confirmed co-witness with the Trijicon RMR and SRO, the Holosun 507C series, and the Vortex Viper. Since optic and plate heights vary, it's smart to measure your setup to confirm the sights, plate, and optic all line up before ordering.
Which Glocks does this set fit?
This GL-R204P-6G set covers a wide range of the Glock lineup, including the 17, 19, 22-24, 26, 27, 31-36, 38, 39, 45, and 47 across Gen 1 through 5, including MOS models. Note that subcompacts like the 43X and 48 use a different part number. If you're unsure, match your model against the fitment list before you buy.
How hard are the R3D 2.0 sights to install?
The 2.0 revision reworked the dovetail so it takes roughly half the force to press in compared to the original R3D. You can install them with a sight pusher tool or with a punch and hammer, and red threadlocker is included for the front sight. XS also provides written and video install guides if you want to walk through it step by step.
How long does the tritium stay bright?
The tritium is warranted to glow for 12 years, which is typical for quality night sights. Tritium naturally dims over its lifespan, so the front Glow Dot's photoluminescent element helps by absorbing ambient light for an extra boost of visibility during the day and at dusk. Between the two, you get a bright front reference in just about any lighting.
