The XS Sights ML10095 is a two-in-one upgrade for the Marlin 1894 that solves a common frustration with these classic carbines: mounting a modern optic without giving up dependable iron sights. It pairs a lightweight, hard-anodized aluminum Picatinny rail with a fully adjustable steel ghost ring rear sight and a high-contrast white stripe front post. Whether you're setting up a brush gun, a truck carbine, or a range plinker, this kit gives you the flexibility to run your glass exactly where you want it.
The extended rail is machined to true Picatinny spec and accepts both Picatinny and Weaver-style rings, so you're not locked into one brand of optic. You can mount a traditional scope directly over the receiver, push a long eye relief scout scope forward over the barrel, or drop a red dot wherever feels natural. That range of positioning is a big deal on a lever gun, where getting the right eye relief can otherwise be a headache. The rear section is milled to seat the ghost ring sight, keeping everything low and clean.
The ghost ring rear is adjustable for both windage and elevation and ships with two interchangeable apertures, a .230-inch and a .191-inch inside diameter. The larger opening pulls in more light for dusk and dawn, while the tighter aperture sharpens up your precision in bright conditions. Up front, the white stripe blade pops against dark timber and light backgrounds alike, giving you fast, instinctive target acquisition even when your optic is off the gun. Together they make a reliable backup system that stands on its own.
This set is built for the Marlin 1894 with a round barrel and a factory front sight installed in a ramp. It will not work with octagon-barrel 1894s. The kit comes complete with all the mounting hardware, a pillar assembly, and blue threadlocker, and installation calls for removing the factory rear sight. Screws torque to 20 inch-pounds, so a proper torque driver is your friend here to avoid over-tightening.
It's designed for the Marlin 1894 with a round barrel and a factory front sight seated in a ramp screwed to the barrel. It does not fit octagon-barrel models. If you have one of the newer Ruger-made 1894s with the wider front sight screw spacing on the SBL, Dark, or Trapper series, the integral front sight in this kit will not fit those, though the rail works with the classic 1894.
