The WATCHTOWER Demolitia is not your average 1911. Born from a collaboration between WATCHTOWER Firearms and Demolition Ranch's Matt Carriker, this is the ported, high-capacity evolution of their Apache double-stack platform. With a production run capped at 5,000 units and every gun precision-machined and hand-assembled in Spring, Texas, this is one that collectors and serious range shooters alike should pay attention to.
The star of the show is the 5-inch 416R stainless barrel with a gold PVD finish and angled dual porting. The port windows in the slide are cut to align perfectly with the barrel ports, which does two things: it vents propellant gases upward to flatten muzzle rise, and it keeps the muzzle flash out of your line of sight. That translates directly to faster, more confident follow-up shots. The whole gun wears WATCHTOWER's proprietary graphite PVD coating on the frame, slide, and every major component, giving it a durable, corrosion-resistant finish that holds up to real use.
Capacity is a genuine strong point here. The double-stack frame ships with both 17-round and 20-round magazines, and the flared tactical magwell makes reloads smooth and fast. The optic-ready slide comes with a Trijicon RMR, SRO, and Holosun-compatible plate already included, and the green fiber-optic front sight handles irons-only duty just fine in the meantime. The Dawson Precision tool-less recoil system comes pre-installed with 7, 8, and 9-pound springs in the box, so you can tune the felt recoil to your preference without any tools.
The Kevlar and carbon fiber composite grip is molded specifically for this pistol, with aggressive texturing that locks into your hand under any conditions. Yes. The slide is cut and comes with a mounting plate compatible with Trijicon RMR, Trijicon SRO, and Holosun optics. A green fiber-optic front sight is installed from the factory if you want to run it irons-only right out of the box.
The pistol includes 7, 8, and 9-pound springs. It ships with the 8-pound spring installed, which is a good starting point for most 9mm loads. WATCHTOWER uses the Dawson Precision tool-less recoil system, so you can swap springs quickly without needing any tools.
