WOOX built this Bravado Handguard specifically for the Henry X Model Large Frame chambered in 357 Magnum/38 Special, swapping out the factory synthetic forend for a hand-finished walnut piece that changes how the rifle feels in your hands. This isn't a one-size-fits-all part. WOOX cut the pattern to match the removable factory handguard on this particular Large Frame X Model platform, so the fit lines up the way most aftermarket furniture never quite manages.
The Bravado Handguard measures 10.56 inches and weighs 10.1 ounces, so you're not adding noticeable bulk to the front end of your lever gun. WOOX built in M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, giving you roughly 5.5 to 7 inches of usable rail space per side for a light, sling stud, or other small accessory. Since it's a direct-fit replacement for the factory forend, installation comes down to pulling the original screws, sliding the old piece off, and sliding this one on using the included hardware. No gunsmithing, no drilling, no sending the rifle out to a shop.
WOOX sources Claro Grade American walnut for every Bravado handguard, machines the blank in Italy, and hand-finishes each piece at their shop in Hickory, North Carolina. Because it's real wood and not a molded stand-in, no two handguards look exactly alike, grain, color, and figure vary from piece to piece, which is part of what makes it feel like a genuine upgrade rather than just a replacement part. WOOX added precision checkering at the points where your support hand grips the forend, along with a slightly flared front and rear profile that keeps your hand indexed correctly whether you're running the lever fast or slowing down for a precise shot. Rounded edges keep pressure points off your palm, something the factory polymer forend on this rifle doesn't really address.
This specific SKU is cut and machined to match the removable factory handguard on the Henry X Model Large Frame rifles chambered in 357 Magnum/38 Special. WOOX makes several handguard patterns for different Henry platforms and calibers, so it's worth double checking your exact model and generation against WOOX's fit guide before you order.
No gunsmithing is required. You'll need a basic screwdriver or hex/torx bit set to remove the factory screws and reinstall the new handguard, and most owners have it swapped in well under an hour. Just make sure the rifle is completely unloaded before you start.
Not exactly, and that's part of the appeal. Every Bravado Handguard is cut from natural American walnut, so grain pattern, color tone, and figure vary from piece to piece. Each one is hand-finished and checked to the same quality standard, but visually it will be one of a kind.
Yes, the Bravado Handguard has integrated M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions with several inches of usable rail space per side. That gives you room to mount a light, sling stud, or similar small accessory without needing an adapter.
