6mm ARC has become one of the more popular chamberings to hit the AR platform in recent years, and Wise Arms built the WA-15B around it in a configuration that actually makes sense for the cartridge. This isn't a 5.56 upper with a different barrel slapped on and called good. The 18-inch length gives 6mm ARC room to build velocity with the heavier, higher-BC bullets the round was designed around, without turning the rifle into something too long to be practical at the range or in the field.

What Makes the WA-15B Lower Different

The WA-15B starts with a billet aluminum receiver instead of the usual forged design, which means Wise Arms was able to cut in some nice touches like a deep, oversized trigger guard that still works fine with gloves on. Inside, it ships with a 3.5 lb single-stage trigger kit, which is a noticeable step up from the gritty mil-spec triggers a lot of budget ARs still run. The 6-position collapsible stock lets you dial in length of pull, and since there's no fixed sighting system, the flat-top upper is wide open for whatever red dot or magnified optic you want to run for stretching this cartridge out to distance.

Handling and Setup on the 18-Inch 6mm ARC Build

A 15-inch free-float M-LOK handguard keeps the barrel from touching anything else on the gun, which matters for accuracy, and gives plenty of real estate for a bipod, light, or foregrip. The barrel is threaded so you can run a brake or suppressor without extra gunsmithing, and the twist rate is cut to stabilize the full range of 6mm ARC bullet weights people are actually loading for this round, from lighter varmint-style projectiles up to the heavier match bullets built for longer distance work.

Rounding Out the WA-15B Package

It comes set up to run right away with a 30-round magazine and a 30+1 capacity, so there's no scrambling for mags before your first range trip. The Black Cerakote finish covers the metal parts for corrosion resistance and a finish that holds up to regular handling better than raw paint. Between the billet lower, upgraded trigger, and the barrel length matched to the caliber, this is a rifle built by people who clearly spent some time thinking about what 6mm ARC actually needs to perform.
