Winchester pioneered the screw-in choke concept decades ago, and the Invector-Plus design pairs with the gun's back-bored barrel to cut down on shot deformation. The tube also seals off gas that would otherwise slip between the choke and barrel, so you get cleaner performance and less wear over the long haul.
