The XPR borrows plenty of DNA from the legendary Model 70 while using modern manufacturing to keep it affordable. The 22 inch chromoly steel barrel is button rifled with a 1:12 twist and target crown, and it free floats the full length so nothing touches it to throw off your groups. The bolt is machined from chromoly barstock with three locking lugs and a short 60 degree lift, which keeps your hand clear of the scope when you cycle a follow-up shot.
