Yes. The barrel is back-bored with a hard chrome plated bore and chamber, and the included Invector-Plus choke tubes are built to handle steel, bismuth, and tungsten loads along with lead. Just follow the standard rule of avoiding steel through the Full choke at maximum constriction with the largest shot sizes if you want to be gentle on your tubes.
You can. The aluminum alloy receiver is drilled and tapped, so adding a rail or saddle mount for a red dot is straightforward. Most waterfowl hunters stick with the vent rib and TruGlo fiber optic front sight, which is plenty fast on crossing birds, but the option is there if you also use the gun for turkey.
