The barrel, magazine tube, slide arms, and other key components wear matte hard chrome plating, and the chamber and bore are chrome plated too, so the parts most exposed to the elements have real protection instead of a thin coat of bluing. The SXP earned its reputation on speed. Its inertia-assisted slide action uses recoil energy to start the forend moving rearward the instant you fire, which makes follow-up shots feel almost automatic. A four-lug rotary bolt locks up tight for consistent, reliable cycling, and dual steel action bars keep the pump stroke smooth without binding. At right around 6 pounds 4 ounces with a 38.5 inch overall length, it points quickly and moves through doorways and tight spaces without feeling clumsy.
The 18 inch barrel has a 3 inch chamber and Winchester's .742 back-bored design for dense, even patterns with buckshot. It's threaded for Invector-Plus chokes and ships with a cylinder tube installed, so you can run slugs or shot as needed. Up top, a removable TruGlo fiber optic front sight grabs your eye fast in low light, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped if you want to add an optic later. The black synthetic stock and ribbed forend give you a sure grip with wet hands, while the Inflex recoil pad takes real sting out of full-power loads.
Maintenance is refreshingly simple. The trigger group drops out for cleaning, and the oversized knurled takedown knob makes field stripping about as quick as it gets on a pump shotgun. Add a crossbolt safety, sling swivel studs, and 5+1 capacity with 2.75 inch shells, and you've got a defensive shotgun that's easy to run, easy to maintain, and built to handle weather that would eat lesser guns alive.

Yes. The aluminum alloy receiver comes drilled and tapped from the factory, so you can add a scope base or rail and run a red dot without any gunsmithing. The removable TruGlo fiber optic front sight works great on its own too if you prefer to keep things simple.
It does. The 18 inch barrel is threaded for Winchester's Invector-Plus choke system and ships with a cylinder choke installed, which is ideal for buckshot and slugs at defensive distances. If you want tighter patterns for other uses, any Invector-Plus tube will thread right in.
