The full-length design supports the recoil spring through its entire travel, which helps the action cycle smoothly and can extend the life of your spring by keeping it from kinking or buckling under heavy use.
The one-piece build is the big selling point here. A lot of full-length rods on the market thread together in the middle, and those can work loose right where all the action is happening.
