Watchtower Firearms built the Demolitia in collaboration with Matt Carriker of Demolition Ranch, and this is the Elite package, the top tier of a total production run capped at 5,000 units, with only 500 reserved in this configuration. It is precision machined and hand assembled in Spring, Texas, using a pre-hardened 4140 steel slide and a 416R stainless steel frame. Every part is hand fitted, which you can feel the moment you cycle the slide.
The 5-inch bull barrel features angled dual porting on both sides, and the ported window cut into the slide is designed to line up perfectly with those ports. The result is a noticeably flatter muzzle during rapid fire, which means faster follow-up shots without fighting the gun back onto target. The slide also gets front lightening cuts and enhanced rear serrations that give you solid purchase for press checks and manipulations. Sights come with a green fiber optic up front, and the slide is cut with an RMR footprint so it is ready for your optic of choice right out of the box.
The trigger is user adjustable between roughly 2.5 and 3.5 pounds with travel adjustment as well, so you can dial it in to your preference without swapping parts. Recoil management is handled by a Dawson Precision toolless recoil system that ships with 7, 8, and 9 pound springs installed on the 8lb. The grip module is molded from a Kevlar and carbon fiber blend with an aggressive texture that locks the gun into your hand, and both sides are engraved with the Demolition Ranch eagle logo and the Watchtower castle. Ambidextrous manual safeties and a flared competition magwell round out the controls.
The Elite package ships in a custom collector's ammo can designed to hold the pistol, four magazines, and the included challenge coin. You also get a co-branded morale patch, a Demolition Ranch hat, a certificate of authenticity signed by Matt Carriker, a soft pistol case, a waterproof hard case, a pistol lock, and a lifetime warranty card. Magazines included are two 17-round and two 20-round. If you want a double-stack 1911 that holds its own on the competition stage and doubles as a serious collector piece, this is a hard package to beat.
The Elite is one of only 500 units produced out of the total 5,000-unit run, compared to 4,500 Core packages. Beyond the production number, the Elite comes with the full collector's package including the custom ammo can, challenge coin, signed certificate of authenticity, morale patch, and hat. The pistol itself shares the same platform and performance specs, but the Elite ships with the complete branded accessories that are exclusive to this tier and will not be sold separately.
The slide is cut with an RMR footprint, which is one of the most widely supported mounting standards in the industry. Most popular red dot sights designed for the RMR pattern will mount directly, and the package includes an optic plate to cover the cut when running iron sights. The green fiber optic front sight is already installed from the factory, so the pistol is fully functional out of the box with or without a red dot.
Based on multiple owner reports, the Demolitia uses the same magazine format as the Staccato P, so Staccato P magazines and many holsters designed for that platform should be compatible. The oversized extended mag release is designed for quick competition-style drops, so keep that in mind when choosing a holster that fits tight around the controls.
The angled dual porting on both sides of the barrel vents gas upward to counteract muzzle rise, and the matching port window in the slide keeps everything aligned. The design is specifically set up to redirect flash away from the shooter's line of sight, which is a real advantage under rapid-fire conditions. Ported barrels on quality platforms like this are proven in competition use and do not negatively impact reliability when the gun is kept clean.
