One thing worth noting: this rail fits Howa 1500 and Weatherby Vanguard short-action receivers, but it does not fit Weatherby MK-V actions. If you're running a short-action Howa or Vanguard and want a dependable, no-drama base that won't break the bank, the Vapor is tough to argue with.

It comes with self-centering tapered T-15 Torx screws, so you'll want a matching Torx driver and a torque wrench. Warne recommends keeping torque modest and adding a removable thread locking compound for the most secure hold. Clean the receiver holes and contact surfaces of any oil before you mount it up.
