This attachment takes that a step further by clipping a full walkie-talkie and Bluetooth radio right onto the muff, so you can coordinate with your group and take a call without touching a handheld. It plugs into any Razor muff with a 3.5mm jack and rides low enough that you barely notice the extra weight.
Communication runs on 22 GPRS channels with 99 sub-channels, which gives you plenty of room to find a clear line when the range or the hunting party gets crowded. Range is rated up to 3 miles in open conditions, and you can run it push-to-talk or set the adjustable VOX so it transmits the moment you start talking. A wind-proof microphone and short-range antenna help keep your voice clear when the breeze picks up, and the tactile rubber buttons paired with an LCD screen make it easy to change channels or adjust volume by feel.
The Bluetooth 5.0 side is where this version pulls ahead of the standard Razor walkie-talkie. Pair it to your phone and you can answer calls, stream music or a podcast, and control media playback right from the attachment. It also links up with the Walker's Link app on iOS and Android if you want to fine-tune your settings.
Power comes from three AAA batteries that are included in the box, and you'll get up to 12 hours of use on a set. Keep in mind the Razor muffs themselves are sold separately, so this is the add-on for folks who already own a pair or plan to grab one. Yes, the muffs are not included with this attachment. It's designed to integrate with any Walker's Razor series muff that has a 3.5mm jack, so it works with a pair you already own or one you pick up alongside it. Note that it will not work with the Razor Quad muffs.
