The Viridian C5L Custom takes the platform that started the compact green laser category and shapes it specifically for the Ruger RXM. Instead of a bulky universal mount hanging off the front of your pistol, this one tucks neatly against the RXM's trigger guard so it keeps the slim, balanced feel Ruger built into the gun. You get a bright green aiming laser and a serious tactical light in one low-profile housing that machined 6061 aluminum keeps tough.
Green lasers show up far better than red in daylight, which is the whole reason Viridian pioneered them, and this one gives you fast target acquisition whether you're on the range or working in the dark. Backing it up is a 580-lumen LED light that throws plenty of usable reach for identifying what's in front of you. The C5L Custom runs three light modes, from a full-power focused beam for maximum visibility down to a softer close-range output when you want to keep things discreet and stretch runtime.
Viridian's patented Instant-On is the feature people fall for. Paired with a compatible holster, the light and laser fire up automatically the moment you draw, in the same mode you holstered with. No fumbling for a switch when seconds count. When you want manual control, ambidextrous buttons put activation and mode changes at either thumb.
The internal rechargeable battery means no more feeding it expensive coin cells. The included SAFECharge system uses a magnetic connector that snaps on to top off the unit and shuts off when it's full, so your carry setup stays ready to go. The housing carries a waterproof rating and rides low enough that it won't throw off the RXM's ergonomics or your holster fit. It's a clean, capable upgrade for anyone who carries or trains with the RXM and wants aiming and lighting handled in one package.
This version is built specifically for the Ruger RXM, so it's shaped to integrate cleanly with that platform's trigger guard and rail. Viridian makes universal and other model-specific C5L versions for guns like Glock, SIG, and the Hellcat if you're running a different pistol. If you want the tightest, best-looking fit on an RXM, this is the one to grab.
Instant-On uses a compatible holster so the laser and light switch on automatically the second you draw, in the same mode you holstered with. That means you don't have to think about hitting a button when you need it most. You can also run it manually with the ambidextrous buttons whenever you prefer.
It has an internal rechargeable battery instead of disposable coin cells, so you never have to buy replacements. The included SAFECharge power source connects with a magnetic connector that snaps right on and automatically shuts off once the unit is fully charged. Runtime is up to about an hour depending on which light mode you're using.
Yes, the 580-lumen output is plenty for identifying targets in low light and around the house, and the three modes let you dial the beam up or down for the situation. The daylight-visible green laser also speeds up your aiming in bright conditions where a red laser would wash out. Between the two, it covers both carry and defensive lighting needs in one compact unit.
