The Ultra Precision 5-Axis Trigger Guard closes that space with a shape that feels natural in the hand, and it looks like a piece of jewelry while doing it. This is one of those parts that costs more than the mil-spec version for a reason, and once it's on your lower, you'll get why.
Geissele machines this guard from a single block of 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum using a 5-axis CNC mill. That extra axis of movement lets the cutter reach every surface of the part, shaving away unnecessary material and leaving behind clean, faceted lines that radiate out from the trademark 'G' logo. The result is smooth to the touch with no sharp corners, and it's finished in a durable Type III hardcoat black anodizing that shrugs off wear and holds up against the elements.
The subtle contour and slightly enlarged opening give you a bit more room, which is a nice touch if you run gloves in cold weather or during duty use. Nothing about it feels oversized or clunky, it just gives your trigger finger some breathing room. The black anodizing matches up cleanly with standard mil-spec receivers, so it looks like it was always meant to be there.
This one drops onto standard AR-15 lower receivers and comes with the hardware you need to mount it. Instead of the usual roll pin on both ends, Geissele includes a threaded detent that screws into place, so there's no worry about cracking an ear on your lower during install. A few billet lowers may need light fitting, but for the vast majority of builds it goes in without drama.

It's designed to fit standard AR-15 lower receivers, so most builds accept it with no fuss. Some billet lowers may need a bit of light fitting depending on the dimensions, but that's the exception rather than the rule. The black anodizing pairs cleanly with typical mil-spec receivers.
It comes with a threaded detent and a roll pin. The front mounts with the roll pin like a normal guard, while the rear uses the threaded detent that screws into place, which takes the stress off your receiver ears during install. A punch and a small hex tool are all you'll typically need.
