The aluminum construction is CNC machined from aerospace-grade material, then anodized in gray for a finish that resists corrosion and gives you a non-slip grip surface. The extension itself doesn't bulk up your carry profile much either, which matters if you run it in a holster.
Every extension comes with a 10% power spring, which means it's about 10% stiffer than the factory spring. This helps ensure consistent feeding under the extra load and makes the magazine feel more responsive when you drop it from a pouch during reloads.
You disassemble the magazine the normal way, take out the spring and follower, and then just slide the extension base onto the magazine tube. The retention plunger clicks into place and holds everything solid. Reinstall your spring and follower, put the floor plate back on, and you're done. The whole process takes longer to explain than to do.

No, this extension is specifically designed for factory Glock magazines and most aftermarket Glock mags. Magpul PMags have a different base design and aren't compatible with this extension.
