This set is made for Kimber 1911 models that use a fixed rear sight, and it covers 3, 4, and 5 inch pistols. It is not designed for Kimber 1911 models with adjustable rear sights, and the Micro series is excluded. If you're unsure which rear your gun has, check whether the rear sight has adjustment screws before ordering.
No batteries or charging needed. The tritium vials glow on their own around the clock, so you get a lit aiming point in total darkness. During the day, the fiber-optic gathers surrounding light to give you a bright, high-contrast dot.
Most people install them at home with a proper sight pusher rather than hammering them in. Some fitment may call for very minor filing on the sight base, which is normal for 1911 sights. If you don't have a pusher, a gunsmith can knock the job out quickly.
The front sight carries a high-contrast orange Focus-Lock ring that pulls your eye straight to the front post for faster focus.
