This TruGlo mount solves that by clamping directly to your ventilated rib, so you can run an RMR-pattern optic without sending the gun off to a gunsmith or touching the receiver. It fits ribs from 0.236 inch (6mm) up to 0.395 inch (10mm), which covers the vast majority of vent-rib shotguns on the market.
The body is built from stainless steel with a corrosion-resistant matte black finish, so it shrugs off weather in the turkey woods or the duck blind. The two-clamp design is the part that matters most here. It grabs the rib in two spots for a rigid lockup, and that rigidity is what lets the mount hold zero shot after shot despite the punishing recoil a shotgun dishes out. Because the optic sits low and tight to the rib, you keep a solid cheek weld instead of craning your neck up over a tall Picatinny riser.
Since the mount lives on the barrel rather than the receiver, your dot travels with the barrel. Swap to a different barrel for a different season and pull the sighted-in barrel back out, and your zero comes right back with it. Once it's on, boresight it and confirm your zero at your hunting distance before opening day.
