A Docter cut and an RMR footprint are two different animals, and that mismatch is exactly what the Truglo TG-TG8952C solves. This plate sits on a Docter-pattern (also called Noblex) slide cut and gives you a proper RMR footprint up top, so a Trijicon RMR or any RMR-pattern red dot drops right on. No remilling the slide, no buying a whole new upper. It's the kind of small part that opens up your optic choices in a big way.
Plenty of factory slides and aftermarket optics come cut for the Docter footprint, which is shared by red dots like Vortex Venom, Burris FastFire, Meopta, and Truglo's own Tru-Tec Micro line. Trouble is, the RMR uses a different bolt pattern and recoil boss layout, so it won't sit on a Docter cut without help. The TG-TG8952C is machined to marry those two standards, keeping your optic aligned and locked down so it holds zero through recoil.
This one is cut from steel and wears Truglo's nitride Fortress finish, which does a good job shrugging off holster wear, sweat, and the elements. Fitment is snug when installed correctly, and users running it on modified Glocks, M&P slides, and MOS setups report a tight, no-wobble seat that stays put. Because the plate also caps the underside of the RMR, it helps keep debris and moisture out of the optic's electronics.
One thing worth double-checking before you order: this plate converts a Docter-cut slide TO an RMR optic, not the other way around. If your slide is already cut for an RMR, you don't need this. Match your slide's factory cut to the plate and you'll be set for carry, competition, or plinking at the range. The mounting screws you need are included, so once you confirm your footprint you're ready to install.
This plate is made for pistol slides milled for the Docter footprint, also known as the Noblex or 4-post pattern. It gives that slide an RMR footprint up top so you can mount a Trijicon RMR or any RMR-pattern optic. If your slide is already cut for an RMR, you don't need this adapter.
