The 26 inch vent rib barrel wears a 3 inch chamber, so you can run everything from light 2 3/4 inch target loads up to heavier 3 inch hunting shells. A bright fiber optic front sight sits up top for fast target pickup on flushing birds, and the crossbolt safety is right where your trigger finger expects it. Because the inertia system doesn't vent gases into the action the way a gas gun does, fouling stays out of the receiver and cleaning sessions get a whole lot shorter. Fewer moving parts to gum up means fewer excuses when a rooster gets up in front of you.
The 20 gauge Matrix is the lighter, quicker-swinging option in the lineup, and it carries nicely through a long day of walking hedgerows or chasing quail. Unlike a gas-operated semi-auto, the inertia system doesn't dump powder fouling into the action, so the gun stays cleaner and needs less lubrication and maintenance. Yes. The 3 inch chamber handles both 2 3/4 and 3 inch 20 gauge shells, so you can run light target loads at the clays range and step up to heavier hunting loads in the field. Like most inertia guns, it cycles most reliably with loads that have a little authority behind them, so very light promo loads may need a quick function check.
It does. There's a magazine cut-off button located in front of the trigger guard that lets you eject the shell from the chamber without feeding a new one from the magazine. That's handy for swapping loads on the fly or unloading the chamber while keeping the magazine topped off. The bolt also locks open after the last round is fired.
