It is a true drop-in unit that swaps out your original trigger and gives you the clean, predictable break Timney built its name on. This one is built for pre-AccuTrigger Savage bolt guns made from 1977 on, covering models 10, 11, 12, 16, 110, 111, 112, 114, 116, and 210, plus the Stevens Model 200. If your rifle came with an AccuTrigger from the factory, this is not the right part, and it does not fit the Model 23. Every unit ships factory calibrated and ready to shoot right out of the box, usually set around 3 pounds. If you want to tune it, the 631 is fully adjustable for pull weight from 1.5 to 4 pounds, along with sear engagement, or creep, and overtravel. Take your time with the safety adjustment and follow the instructions closely. Timney's customer support is genuinely good if you hit a snag while setting yours up.
