It measures 12" x 36" and runs 1/8" thick, which is enough room to lay out a fully disassembled FAL with space left over for brushes, punches, and a bottle of solvent.
The top is a soft thermoplastic fiber surface that cradles your rifle and keeps the finish from picking up scratches while you work. There are no loose fibers to worry about migrating into your action or trigger group.
