This TekMat gives your Peacemaker a proper home base at 11 by 17 inches, which is enough real estate to spread out a fully broken-down revolver and still have room for your brushes, solvent, and cleaning rod. The whole thing rolls up when you're done and tucks away next to the rest of your cleaning supplies.
The surface is where TekMat earns its reputation. It's a soft polyester top that won't mar a blued finish or a color case-hardened frame, and it stays lint-free, so you don't have fibers sneaking into the action or the cylinder. Underneath is a 1/8 inch layer of vulcanized neoprene rubber that grips your bench, stays put while you work, and blocks oil and cleaning chemicals from soaking through to whatever's below.
Printed right into the mat is an exploded parts diagram of the Single Action Army along with a short history of the model. The artwork comes from dye-sublimation printing, which bonds the ink into the fibers instead of sitting on top, so it won't fade, wash out, or rub away no matter how many cleaning sessions it sees. Detail-stripping an SAA can get fiddly, and having the parts laid out in front of you makes reassembly a lot less of a guessing game.
