The rear sight is a drift-adjustable blade held in place by a small screw, so you can adjust windage to match your preferred ammo. The front sight is a fixed serrated ramp. It's a simple, snag-free setup that works well for a compact revolver like this.
That's by design. Rimfire cartridges need a harder hammer strike than centerfire rounds to ignite reliably, so the 942 uses a stouter mainspring. Cock the exposed hammer for single action and you'll get a much lighter, crisper break for precise shots.
