The TangoDown BG-17 Battlegrip is the bigger sibling to the popular BG-16, and the extra size is the whole point. TangoDown stretched the backstrap and added a fuller beavertail so folks with larger hands finally get a grip that fills the palm instead of leaving fingers cramped. That taller backstrap also lets you ride your firing hand up higher on the receiver, which translates to better leverage and more control when you shoulder the rifle. It's molded from tough, heat and impact modified polymer, so it shrugs off the abuse that comes with real range time.
The grip is well suited to .308 and 7.62 rifles, where its soft, ample form does a nice job taking the sting out of recoil. The sides carry an aggressive, skateboard-tape style texture that keeps your hand locked in even when things get sweaty or wet, while the front strap and backstrap stay smoother for comfort. Put simply, it feels natural in the hand and nudges you into a more aggressive stance behind the gun.
