The TacFire BU30818 takes most of the guesswork out of finishing a .308 build. It's a complete AR-10 upper assembly chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62 NATO, and it arrives built and ready to drop onto a compatible DPMS-pattern lower. The 18-inch barrel wears a black nitride finish that fights corrosion and holds up well to steady range time, and the 1:10 twist does a nice job stabilizing the heavier .308 bullet weights most folks reach for.
The barrel is cut from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a mid-length gas system, which tends to run smoother and softer than a rifle-length setup on an 18-inch gun. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with a standard A2 flash hider, so swapping to a brake or a suppressor mount down the road is simple.
