The original Bodyguard 2.0 earned its reputation fast, and for good reason. It packed real capacity and genuine shootability into a pistol small enough to disappear in a pocket. The Performance Center crew took that same recipe and answered the one request everyone had: make it even flatter shooting. The Carry Comp does exactly that with a 3.1 inch ported stainless steel barrel that lines up with a PowerPort vent cut through the top of the slide, redirecting gas upward to fight muzzle flip before it starts. On a pistol this light, that matters. Follow-up shots come back on target quicker, and range sessions are noticeably more pleasant than what most micro .380s deliver.
Beyond the porting, the upgrades are practical ones. The Performance Center Grey Armornite slide wears aggressive serrations that give you solid purchase for racking, even with sweaty hands or under stress. Up top, an AmeriGlo Protector LumiGreen front night sight pairs with a blacked-out square notch rear, a setup that pulls your eye straight to the front sight in any light. The flat-face trigger breaks clean and encourages consistent finger placement, and this version includes a manual thumb safety for folks who want that extra step in their carry routine. Two 10-round magazines come in the box, giving you 10+1 on board with a reload ready to go.
At 11.8 ounces unloaded, 0.88 inches wide, and under 6 inches long, this pistol carries like it barely exists. The textured polymer grip strikes a nice balance, grippy on the front and backstraps where you need traction without chewing up your side. Yes, though how much you notice depends on your grip strength and experience level. The PowerPort vents gas upward through the top of the slide just before the bullet exits, which counteracts muzzle rise during recoil. Newer shooters and folks with less hand strength tend to feel the biggest difference, and most people find follow-up shots come back on target quicker than with the standard model.
The Carry Comp gets a longer 3.1 inch ported barrel versus the standard 2.75 inch, along with a matching vented Performance Center slide in a gray Armornite finish. It also upgrades to an AmeriGlo LumiGreen front night sight paired with a blacked-out rear, plus sharper slide serrations. The frame, trigger style, and overall slim footprint stay essentially the same, so it conceals just as easily.
This specific model, MPN 14418, ships with two 10-round magazines for a 10+1 total capacity. Some other Carry Comp configurations pair a 10-round flush mag with a 12-round extended mag, so double check the model number if capacity matters to you. Standard Bodyguard 2.0 magazines interchange with this pistol as well.
