That single-action design gives you a short, crisp trigger pull that most striker guns in this size class just can't match, and the updated E-Series flat-faced trigger makes it even better with a clean break and a quick, positive reset. Add in the aluminum alloy frame, which puts just enough weight in your hand to soak up recoil, and you get a small pistol that shoots noticeably softer than its footprint suggests.
The 3.6 inch stainless steel barrel wears a tough Armornite finish and a 1:10 twist, wrapped in a package that measures 6.6 inches long and 4.6 inches tall at around 23.5 ounces. The real trick is the modular grip adapter, which lets you convert the frame from micro-compact to compact. Run it slim for deep concealment or size it up for a fuller grip on range day. With one 12-round, one 15-round, and one 17-round magazine included, you can match capacity and grip length to the season, the outfit, or the job.
The slide is cut for red dots using a modified RMS-C/507K footprint, so popular micro optics like the Holosun 507K and Shield RMSc family mount right up. Smith & Wesson also added their ClearSight cut, which routes gases away from the optic lens to help keep your glass clean while you shoot. Prefer irons? The white dot sights are metal, not plastic, and they get the job done just fine.
Ambidextrous thumb safety, generous grip texture, aggressive slide serrations, and simple takedown round out the package. The slide also features Smith & Wesson's ClearSight cut, which directs gases away from the lens to keep your optic clearer during strings of fire.
Three magazines come in the box: one 12-round, one 15-round, and one 17-round. Paired with the modular grip adapter, that lets you set the gun up slim for deep concealment or full-size for range work and home defense.
The E-Series is the second generation of the platform and addresses the most common requests from original CSX owners. It adds an optic-ready slide, an improved flat-faced E-Series trigger with a cleaner break and reset, expanded grip texture, and the modular grip adapter for sizing the frame up or down. The longer 3.6 inch barrel on this version also gives you a bit more sight radius and velocity.
