The original CSX earned a loyal following as one of the few hammer-fired, all-metal micro nines on the market, and the E-Series is Smith & Wesson listening to what owners asked for. The bones are the same: an aluminum alloy frame, a 3.1 inch stainless steel barrel with a 1:10 twist, and a crisp single action design that gives you a trigger most striker guns can't touch. What's new is where it counts. The E-Series trigger breaks cleaner with a shorter, more positive reset, the grip texture now covers more real estate for a surer hold with sweaty hands, and the slide is cut for optics right from the factory.
The slide uses a modified RMSc/507K footprint, so it accepts most of the popular micro red dots without hunting down adapter plates.
