The 6mm ARC has earned a serious following, and the SOCOM6-MINI4 is SureFire building a can specifically for it rather than asking the cartridge to make do with a borrowed design. This is the fourth generation of the SOCOM line, and the headline number is a 60% reduction in backpressure compared to conventional suppressors. On a gas gun, that translates to real-world benefits you notice on the first magazine: less gas blowing back at your face, smoother cycling, a bolt carrier that stays cleaner longer, and recoil that settles quicker between shots.
The entire can is built from U.S. mill-certified Inconel superalloy, the same high-temperature material that made the original SOCOM suppressors a fixture with military units. SureFire pairs machined and 3D-printed aerospace-grade components with CNC laser welding, so it shrugs off the heat and erosion of sustained fire, even on short-barreled hosts. The updated muzzle design does double duty too, improving gas flow while adding impact resistance and cutting frontal flash. Flash suppression stays consistent from the first round through a hot can, which matters a lot more in low light than any spec sheet suggests.
At 5.8 inches long, 1.5 inches in diameter, and 16 ounces, the MINI4 keeps added length and weight to a minimum, and because it seats back over the muzzle device, it only adds about three inches to your rifle. The proven Fast-Attach system means tool-free mounting and removal with a rock-solid lockup, and it's backward compatible with the huge number of SOCOM muzzle devices already out there. For best results, run it on SF3P, FH556RC, or WARCOMP open-tine flash hiders. Designed and manufactured in the USA, finished in Dark Earth Cerakote, and built to outlast the rifle it's riding on.
No, the suppressor ships on its own and mounts to SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach muzzle devices, which are sold separately. If you already run a SureFire SOCOM brake or flash hider on your rifle, this can will lock right onto it. For best performance, SureFire recommends pairing it with the SF3P, FH556RC, or WARCOMP open-tine flash hiders.
The can measures 5.8 inches overall and weighs 16 ounces, but because it seats back over the muzzle device, it only adds around 3 inches to your rifle's total length. That compact footprint keeps the handling close to what you're used to unsuppressed, which is the whole point of the MINI4 format.
Traditional suppressors send a lot of gas back through the action, which means more carbon fouling, more gas at your face, and a gun that runs overgassed. The SOCOM6-MINI4's fourth-generation flow design vents gas forward instead, so you get noticeably less blowback, a cleaner bolt carrier group, more reliable cycling, and better recoil control. It makes a real difference during long range sessions on gas-operated 6mm ARC rifles.
It performs best on 6mm ARC barrels 11.5 inches and longer. The full Inconel construction is built to handle the heat and erosion of sustained fire even on short-barreled rifles, so pistol-length and SBR-style 6mm ARC builds are right in its wheelhouse.
