Description

The Surefire DS-SR07 is a dual switch assembly built for most of Surefire's Scout Light weapon lights, giving you both a click on/off pushbutton on the tailcap and a plug-in SR07 remote tape switch on a 7-inch cable. The tape switch handles momentary-on when you press and constant-on when you click through, and it snaps right onto a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail without tools. That waterproof, O-ring sealed construction means rain, mud, and rough weather aren't going to keep it from working when you need it.

Why Two Switches Beat One

The real appeal of the DS-SR07 is redundancy. The integrated pushbutton and the remote tape switch operate completely independently, so if you ever have an issue with one, the other still runs the light. There's also a system disable feature built in, which lets you lock things out when you want the light to stay dark. The two-piece housing swivels, letting you dial in exactly where that tailcap pushbutton sits so it lands right for your grip and setup.

Fitting the DS-SR07 to Your Scout Light

Surefire Scout tailcaps and tape switches are interchangeable across the M300 and M600 series, so if you're running a Scout Light like the M300, M600U, or M600DF, the DS-SR07 drops right in. The one to watch for is the Micro Scout Light Pro, which this assembly is not made for. If your handguard is M-LOK rather than Picatinny, you'll want an M-LOK adapter or a dedicated tape switch mounting plate to route the pad cleanly along the rail.

Built the Surefire Way

This is the kind of switch setup that gets trusted on duty guns and hard-use builds for a reason. The overmolded switch housing shrugs off abuse, the cable is stout enough to resist kinking, and the pressure pad activates with a light touch while the pushbutton takes deliberate pressure so you won't bump the light on by accident. If you want flexible, dependable control over your Scout Light, this is a proven answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Surefire lights does the DS-SR07 work with?

The DS-SR07 fits most Surefire Scout Light weapon lights, including the M300 and M600 series like the M600U and M600DF. Surefire Scout tailcaps and tape switches are interchangeable across those lights, so it's a clean swap. The one exception is the Micro Scout Light Pro, which this assembly is not designed for.

Can I mount the DS-SR07 tape switch on an M-LOK handguard?

The SR07 remote snaps directly onto a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail out of the box. If your handguard is M-LOK, you'll need an M-LOK to Picatinny adapter or a dedicated tape switch mounting plate to attach it. These route the cable cleanly and keep the pad snag-free along the rail.

What does the system disable feature on the DS-SR07 do?

The system disable feature lets you lock the light out so it won't activate, which is handy when you want to guarantee the light stays off during transport or storage. It adds an extra layer of control beyond just the switches. You can re-enable it whenever you're ready to run the light again.

Why does the DS-SR07 have both a pushbutton and a tape switch?

The integrated tailcap pushbutton and the plug-in remote tape switch operate independently of each other, giving you redundancy. If one ever has a problem, the other keeps the light running. It also means you can activate the light either at the tailcap or from the pressure pad wherever it sits best for your grip.
