The Surefire DG-14 replaces the rear battery cap on your X-Series WeaponLight and swaps in a low-profile pressure pad that sits against the front of your pistol's grip. Instead of reaching for a toggle or shifting your support hand, you just add a little pressure with your middle finger and the light comes on. Your firing grip stays locked in and your trigger finger stays where it belongs. That kind of one-handed control is exactly what you want when you're working in low light and can't spare a hand.
This version is cut specifically for Sig Sauer full-size and compact frames, including the P320, M17, M18, X-Carry, X5, X-VTAC, and the P226R. On the light side it plays nicely with the X-Series lineup like the X300 and X400, along with the XH30 and XH35 (the one exception being the XH50G). If you're running a Sig and one of those lights, the DG-14 is the switch matched to that combo.
The pad is ambidextrous, so lefties and righties both get the same experience. Press it forward or hold steady pressure for momentary-on, which is how most folks use it. The best part is that installing the DG switch doesn't take away the light's built-in toggle switches, so you keep the factory momentary and constant-on functions too. You're adding a control method, not trading one away.

No. Installing the DG-14 keeps the light's integrated dual toggle switches intact, so you still have the factory momentary and constant-on functions. The grip switch simply adds another way to activate the light using natural grip pressure.
A center-mounted pressure pad sits just below the trigger guard and rests under your middle finger. A little added pressure fires the light momentarily without moving your firing hand, and the pad is ambidextrous so it works the same for left and right-handed use. It's a quick, intuitive way to keep positive control in low light.
