Strike Industries machined this from 6061-T6 aluminum and designed it to replace your factory G19 magazine baseplate, adding five rounds to every OEM double-stack 15-rounder you run. You get back what matters most: smoother reloads with a genuine no-drag grip that won't catch on gear or catch you off guard when it counts.
That aluminum construction does double duty. It's light enough to carry extra loaded mags without bulk but tough enough to hold up through constant range cycles and competitions. The anodized FDE finish resists wear while looking sharp. The hooked aluminum locking plate included in the box adds mechanical security so your plate stays put when loaded and in use, unlike some cheaper alternatives that rely on friction alone. Installation requires removing the factory baseplate and slider from your magazine, then sliding this on with the extended spring Strike Industries includes. The hex tool comes with it, and tightening is straightforward as long as you don't overtighten the set screw.
This plate fits GLOCK factory OEM G19 double-stack magazines and works with certain aftermarket versions like ETS mags over ten rounds. It's designed to stay within USPSA 140mm race division limits, making it legal for sanctioned competition right out of the box. It also works with Strike Industries magwells if you run one of those. The tight fit means you get a secure lock with no movement once installed, which is why Strike Industries recommends professional installation for the aluminum version to avoid damaging the polymer magazine body during setup.
This aluminum extended magazine plate adds five rounds to OEM Glock G19 double-stack magazines, taking standard 15-round mags to 20-round capacity. It's designed to stay within USPSA 140mm competition limits, so you get those five rounds without oversizing beyond sanctioned competition standards.
Installation requires removing your factory baseplate and slider from the magazine, then sliding this plate on with the extended spring included in the box. The hex tool comes with everything you need. Because the aluminum is machined to fit tight for security, Strike Industries recommends having a gunsmith handle installation to avoid damaging the polymer magazine body during setup. Overtightening the set screw is the main thing to watch for.
This aluminum plate is compatible with ETS G19 magazines that hold over ten rounds. Strike Industries notes they cannot control ETS design changes, so if ETS modifies their magazines in the future, compatibility could change. Stick with OEM Glock G19 double-stack magazines if you want guaranteed fit and function.
The aluminum version is lighter and more durable than polymer alternatives, resists wear better, and the anodized finish holds up through heavy use. The tight machined fit provides superior security and the hooked aluminum locking plate gives extra mechanical retention. The tradeoff is that the tight aluminum fit requires more care during installation to avoid magazine damage.
