Reloading a bone-stock Scorpion EVO can be a bit of a guessing game. The magazine port sits flush with no lead-in, so under pressure it is easy to fumble a fresh mag against the edge and lose a second or two. Strike Industries built this magwell to fix exactly that. The flared, funnel-shaped opening gives misaligned magazines a ramp to slide down, turning sloppy reloads into smooth, repeatable ones whether you are running drills, shooting a match, or just plinking on the weekend.
Beyond the faster mag changes, there is a bit of ergonomic bonus baked in. The design adds a raised radial edge across the front of the receiver that gives your support hand something to index against, so you get a more consistent, repeatable grip shot after shot. It is molded from Strike's high-strength, impact-resistant SI Polymer Extreme blend, so it stays light and shrugs off the kind of bumps and drops a range gun lives through.
Setup is refreshingly simple. Everything you need comes in the box, and the whole thing captures around the mag well and locks down with a single set screw. One tip worth repeating from folks who have run it: do not crank the set screw down hard. Snug it until the end sits flush with the nut and no further, since over-torquing can pinch the well and keep a mag from dropping free. Pair it with the SI Mag Release for the EVO and the two pieces blend together seamlessly.
This magwell fits all CZ Scorpion EVO pistols and carbines with the exception of the EVO 3+. It is not designed to work with CZ drum magazines, and if you run the OEM CZ folding stock, the magwell will need to be clearanced for the stock to fully fold. Not at all. It captures around the mag well and locks down with a single included set screw, and everything you need including the hex key and threadlocker comes in the box. Most people have it on in a couple of minutes with no gunsmithing.
That is almost always an over-tightened set screw. Cranking it down too far pinches the magwell and binds the magazine. Back it off and tighten only until the end of the set screw sits flush with the nut, and mags should drop clean.
