If you've had a full-size XD for years and wanted to join the red dot revolution without dropping cash on a new gun, Springfield Armory designed this exact solution. The XD OSP slide gives your existing XD frame genuine factory-level optic mounting capability in a straightforward swap.
This 4-inch 9mm slide assembly comes complete with the Crimson Trace CTS-1500 red dot already mounted, so there's no need to source optics separately or hunt down mounting plates. The slide features suppressor-height fiber optic front and U-notch rear sights that sit high enough to co-witness under the red dot, meaning you retain your backup sight picture. Built from steel with black anodized finish, it's constructed to the same standards as the rest of the XD platform—known for solid reliability.
The assembly fits original full-size XD pistols with 4-inch or 5-inch barrels and uses your existing barrel and recoil spring system, so installation amounts to swapping the old slide for the new one. It's not compatible with XD Mod.2, XD-M, XD-S, or other variants, so verify your model before ordering. The included cover plate protects the optic cut when you're running irons only, keeping the milling clean and ready for a future swap if needed.
The bundled Crimson Trace CTS-1500 is a compact micro-style red dot with a 5 MOA reticle. It runs on a standard CR2032 battery and produces a bright, easy-to-see dot across different lighting conditions. The optic mounts securely using the included Springfield Micro footprint plate, and brightness controls are straightforward for field adjustments.
This slide assembly fits original full-size XD pistols with 4-inch or 5-inch barrels. It is not compatible with XD Mod.2, XD-M, XD-S, or XD-E models. Before ordering, confirm your XD is an original full-size model to ensure compatibility.
Yes. The included cover plate protects the optics cut, and the suppressor-height sights are tall enough to co-witness under the Crimson Trace red dot. You can run irons alone or keep the cover plate on if you prefer iron-only shooting.
The CTS-1500 runs on a standard CR2032 button cell battery. Battery life is approximately one year with normal use. The sight includes automatic shutoff and brightness adjustment for different lighting conditions.
The slide is cut to accept Springfield Micro footprint optics mounting plates. You can purchase alternative mounting plates to use other compatible red dot sights such as HEX Wasp, Holosun, Leupold DeltaPoint, Shield RMS/RMSc, and others. Plates are sold separately.
