The 4.0C keeps the 4" hammer-forged, Melonite-finished barrel, the billet-machined slide, and every bit of the platform's modularity intact. The centerpiece of the whole design is the Central Operating Group, a self-contained stainless steel chassis that houses the fire control components and serves as the serialized part of the pistol. Because the COG is the legal firearm, you can swap it between different grip modules without any FFL paperwork, which means you can change frame size or even color down the road without buying a new gun. The trigger runs through this chassis, with all critical components machined from tool steel and polished for a clean break, a defined wall, and a short, positive reset.
