The RFX11 is a purpose-built carry optic: a crisp 3 MOA green dot with automatic brightness adjustment, Instant-On motion-activated power, and an impressive 30,000-hour battery life off a single CR2032. It weighs under half an ounce, so there's no meaningful impact on how the gun carries. The optic sits directly on the Springfield Micro footprint cut into the slide — no adapter plates needed.
The slide and barrel are finished in Melonite, which gives excellent corrosion resistance and holds up well under regular use. Springfield's Adaptive Grip Texture uses a staggered pyramid pattern that bites enough to give you real control under recoil without being abrasive against the body during carry — a balance that a lot of competing guns get wrong. Front and rear slide serrations make press checks and malfunction clearing straightforward. It's still very concealable for most people, and for many it's the better all-day carry choice because it's easier to shoot accurately.
This model does not include a manual thumb safety. It relies on the trigger blade safety integrated into the trigger itself, which is standard for striker-fired carry pistols. Springfield does produce manual safety variants of the Hellcat Pro, but this specific Gear Pac configuration is the no-manual-safety version.
The RFX11 is a solid choice for a carry pistol optic.
