There is something about a color case hardened receiver that makes a shotgun feel special before you ever shoulder it, and the Spandau Premier Target leans into that from the start. The receiver is hand engraved and finished in those swirling case colors, set against blued 28 inch barrels and Grade 3 Turkish walnut with genuine hand cut checkering. It is a lot of gun to look at, but Spandau built this one to work for a living on the clays course, not sit in a safe.
Under the pretty exterior, the Premier Target runs a proven box lock over/under action with mechanical triggers, which means the second barrel fires whether or not the first shell goes off. That is a real advantage in trap and sporting clays where a light load or dud should not cost you a pair. Selectable firing order lets you choose which barrel fires first, so you can match choke to presentation. The 3 inch chambers give you flexibility on loads, and the red fiber optic front bead picks up fast against any background.
A target gun has to fit you, and this one gives you room to make that happen. The adjustable comb lets you dial in cheek weld and point of impact instead of settling for factory dimensions, and the stock includes a palm swell shaped for right handed shooters. Length of pull comes in at 14 3/8 inches, a comfortable spot for most adults. The barrels are threaded for the Benelli/Mobil choke pattern, one of the most common thread systems out there, so aftermarket tube options are nearly endless when you want to fine tune patterns.

The barrels are threaded for the Benelli/Mobil choke pattern, which is one of the most widely supported thread systems in the industry. That means you can run tubes from Carlson's, Briley, Trulock, and plenty of other makers when you want to fine tune your patterns for trap, skeet, or sporting clays.
It uses mechanical triggers, which is a big plus for a target gun. The second barrel will fire even if the first shell fails to ignite or is a very light load, so a dud round won't cost you the second half of a pair. It also has selectable firing order, letting you pick which barrel fires first.
Yes, the Grade 3 Turkish walnut stock includes an adjustable comb so you can set cheek height and fine tune your point of impact. Combined with the right handed palm swell and 14 3/8 inch length of pull, it gives most adult target shooters plenty of room to get a proper fit.
It can. The Premier Target is chambered for shells up to 3 inches, though most people will feed it standard 2 3/4 inch target loads for clays work. The 3 inch chambers just give you extra flexibility if you ever want to run heavier loads.
