Iron sight duty is handled by an Ameriglo Trooper LumiGreen front night sight paired with a blacked-out serrated rear, a smart setup that draws your eye to the front post in any light. Shield Plus mags share the same basic body and will physically seat, but the base plates are different, so you may not get a flush fit without swapping plates. Shield X-specific magazines are the cleaner route and the safest bet for reliable feeding. This model ships with two 10-round magazines from the factory.
Yes, this particular model includes a manual thumb safety along with the standard striker-fired internal safeties. Smith & Wesson offers the Carry Comp both with and without the thumb safety, so double-check the part number if you have a preference. The 14775 is the thumb safety version with 10-round magazines.
