The Safariland Species is a straightforward answer for Sig P365 X-Macro owners looking to lighten their EDC setup. This holster strips away the bulk that comes with a lot of IWB designs, delivering a compact shell that still provides everything you need. The thermal-molded SafariLaminate construction keeps things sturdy without adding unnecessary material, and the whole thing is lined with suede that protects your gun's finish while making the draw quiet and smooth.
You'll notice right away that the Species uses a wraparound design molded specifically for your P365 X-Macro. The suede lining is one of those thoughtful touches that separates this from basic kydex offerings, reducing scuffing on your slide and giving you a noticeably better hold than you'd expect. The belt clip is designed for standard 1.5-inch belts and can be adjusted for cant and ride height, so you can position it exactly how you want whether you're running appendix or strongside carry.
The passive trigger guard retention system integrates cleanly into the design so nothing snags on your waistband, yet you can still dial in the draw feel with the recessed adjustment screw. That same attention to detail shows up in the optics compatibility, which covers Romeo Zero, RMR CC, Shield RMS/RMS-C, Swampfox Sentinel, Hex Wasp, Holosun 407K and 507K, and most other popular micro red dots. It's built right into the shell so you're covered whether you run iron sights or glass.
Yes, the SPECIES is optics-compatible and works with Romeo Zero, RMR CC, Shield RMS/RMS-C, Swampfox Sentinel, Hex Wasp, Holosun 407K, Holosun 507K, J-Point, Crimson Trace 1550, and similar micro red dots. The optic cut is molded into the shell so you're covered out of the box.
Absolutely. The Species features a fully adjustable belt clip with cant adjustment for your preferred draw angle and ride-height adjustment so you can position it higher or lower on your waistband. This makes it flexible for both appendix and strongside carry positions.
SafariLaminate is Safariland's thermal-molded Boltaron construction, which offers superior durability and longevity compared to thin kydex. The SPECIES uses a thicker, more rigid design that maintains its shape over time while the suede interior protects your gun's finish and provides a more secure fit.
The SPECIES is designed as a light-free, minimalist holster optimized for iron sights and optics only. If you need light compatibility for a Streamlight TLR-7 or similar compact light, Safariland's INCOG-X would be a better option for the P365 X-Macro.
