On a big-bore can like the Hybrid 46 shooting .30 cal, that difference is something you notice at the range, not just on paper.
Beyond the sound numbers, the flat profile shaves real length off your setup. On an Omega 300 in direct thread configuration, going from the anchor brake to a flat cap takes the suppressor from just over 7 inches down to right around 6. That inch matters when you are working a rifle through a blind, a truck cab, or thick timber. The cap threads on and off without drama, so switching between calibers or going back to your brake takes a minute, not an afternoon.

It will. On the Omega 300 in direct thread configuration, replacing the anchor brake with a flat front cap drops the overall length from about 7.09 inches to roughly 6.06 inches. That is a full inch off the end of your rifle, which makes a real difference in handling and maneuverability.
You can safely shoot any caliber smaller than the .30 cal bore through this cap, so 5.56, 6.5, and similar rounds are fine. You just will not get the maximum sound reduction benefit, since the opening is larger than the bullet. For the best performance with 5.56, SilencerCo offers a dedicated .223/5.56 version of this cap in FDE, the AC1370.
