Other XTen variants without the manual safety ship with 15-round steel magazines. The 10-round magazines are full-size in external dimensions and are made from the same durable steel construction as the higher-capacity versions.
The XTen shares the P320 platform's modular fire control unit design, and the FCU itself is interchangeable with other P320 FCUs. However, because the XTen's frame and magazine well are scaled for the 10mm and .45 ACP cartridges, it is not compatible with 9mm, .40 S&W, or .357 SIG-sized P320 grip modules, slides, or barrels. Accessories designed for .45 ACP-sized P320s are the correct swap-out option.
