This is a full-size, hammer-fired, single-action-only pistol built on a double-stack 1911-style platform — not a striker-fired polymer gun wearing a dressy finish. The stainless steel frame with a full-length dust cover adds real weight (right around 46 oz) that works in your favor by soaking up recoil impulse. The flat, skeletonized trigger is factory set between 3.5 and 4 pounds with a short, fast reset that makes rapid follow-up shots feel effortless. The Equinox variant specifically brings Sig's Custom Works aesthetic to the platform. The polished stainless slide and matching compensator contrast against the black Nitron frame for a two-tone look that has always defined the Equinox line. Standard flat-basepad 17-round P320 magazines will not seat fully. The gun ships with three compatible magazines, so you are covered out of the box, but keep this in mind when buying extras.
