The 90-degree tapered shoulder is designed for non-Sig Sauer barrels, which covers the vast majority of aftermarket and factory .308 setups out there. That shouldered interface gives your suppressor a repeatable, square index every time it clicks on, so your zero holds and your point of impact stays honest across mount-ups. If you're shooting a Sig Taper-Lok barrel instead, there's a 25-degree version made specifically for those, so double-check your barrel before you buy.
The threads are the industry-standard 5/8-24, so it plays nice with the common 7.62 barrel profiles most folks already run. It's machined from stainless steel with a matte black finish and runs right around 2.2 inches long, so it stays compact out front. The Clutch-Lok mechanism is the star here since it locks your SLX or SLH suppressor down solid but comes off fast when you want the rifle lighter and shorter. As with any muzzle device, getting it timed and torqued right matters, so a competent gunsmith is worth the trouble if you're not set up to do it yourself.
