Description
Plenty of micro nines will disappear under a shirt. Not many of them feel like a well-built pistol when you pick them up. The P938 Legion is SIG's answer to that gap. It starts with the proven P938 platform, a hammer-fired, single-action-only 9mm with 1911-style controls, then layers on the upgrades the Legion series is known for. The all-metal build gives it a solidity you just don't get from most pocket-sized polymer guns, and the fit between slide and frame is tight enough that there's no rattle when you rack it.
What Sets the P938 Legion Apart
The trigger is the headline here. SIG machined it from aluminum and tuned the single-action pull to break clean and crisp, which makes a 3-inch gun surprisingly easy to shoot well. Up top, X-RAY3 day/night sights give you a bright green front dot in daylight and glowing tritium after dark. Front cocking serrations, checkering on the trigger guard, and grippy black G-10 panels with the embedded Legion medallion round out the slide and frame work. The whole gun wears Legion Gray Cerakote Elite over the aluminum alloy frame and stainless slide, a finish that holds up to holster wear better than most.
Built to Carry, Built to Reload
The extended magwell is a small addition that pays off twice. It funnels magazines in faster when you're reloading under pressure, and combined with the extended base pads on the 7-round mags, it gives most hands room to get the pinky on the grip instead of curled underneath it. At 3 inches of barrel and around 17 ounces, it still rides all day inside the waistband without complaint. The ambidextrous thumb safety keeps things friendly for left-handed folks too.
SIG includes three 7-round magazines in the box, which is a nice touch since most carry pistols ship with two at best. If you've been carrying a base-model micro nine and wondering what a step up feels like, this is it. The P938 Legion shoots like a much bigger gun and carries like a much smaller one.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the P938 Legion different from the standard P938?
The Legion version adds the upgrades SIG reserves for its premium line: a precision-machined aluminum trigger, X-RAY3 day/night sights, black G-10 grips with the Legion medallion, checkering on the trigger guard, an extended magwell, and the signature Legion Gray Cerakote Elite finish. It also ships with three magazines instead of one. The core platform, a single-action 9mm with 1911-style controls, stays the same.
Is the P938 Legion a good concealed carry gun?
That's exactly what it was built for. With a 3-inch barrel, a height around 4.3 inches, and a weight in the 17-ounce range, it disappears easily inside the waistband. The single-action trigger and night sights make it easier to shoot accurately than most guns this size, and the ambidextrous safety works for either hand.
Do you carry the P938 Legion cocked and locked like a 1911?
Yes. Like other 1911-pattern pistols, the P938 is a single-action design meant to be carried with the hammer cocked and the thumb safety engaged. If you're already familiar with 1911 manual of arms, this gun will feel like home. If you're new to it, spend some quality dry-fire time getting comfortable sweeping the safety on the draw.
How many magazines come with the P938 Legion, and are higher capacity mags available?
This model ships with three 7-round magazines, each with an extended base pad that gives most hands a full grip. SIG also sells P938 magazines separately if you want spares for carry rotation or range days. The extended magwell accepts them cleanly for quicker reloads.
