When SIG dropped the P365 back in 2018, it forced every other gunmaker to go back to the drawing board. Ten plus one rounds of 9mm in a gun barely over an inch wide was unheard of at the time, and the formula still holds up. This version, the 365-9-BXR3P-MS, adds two things a lot of carriers have been asking for: a slide cut for a red dot from the factory and a manual thumb safety for that extra layer of control.
The Nitron-finished stainless slide is machined for the Shield RMSc footprint, so a ROMEOZero or ROMEOZero Elite drops straight on with no adapter plates to fuss with. Prefer irons? The included XRAY3 day/night sights are some of the best factory sights in the business, with a bright green front dot that jumps out in daylight and tritium vials that glow when the light goes away. Front and rear slide serrations give you solid purchase for press checks and racking, even with sweaty hands.
At 3.1 inches of barrel, 5.8 inches overall, and around 17.8 ounces empty, this thing disappears in an inside-the-waistband holster or even a pocket rig. The striker-fired trigger breaks clean and crisp, and the grip module gives most hands enough real estate for a full firing grip, which is a big part of why the P365 shoots so much better than its size suggests. It is also rated for +P ammunition, so you can run hotter defensive loads with confidence.
The frame-mounted manual safety is low profile and easy to sweep off on the draw, and it rides out of the way if you train with it properly. Two 10-round steel magazines come in the box, and the gun accepts SIG's extended 12, 15, and 17-round P365 mags if you want more capacity for the nightstand or range days. Backed by SIG's transferable Infinite Guarantee, this is a carry gun you can buy once and rely on for a long time.
The slide is factory cut for the Shield RMSc footprint, so the SIG ROMEOZero and ROMEOZero Elite mount directly with no adapter plate. Other RMSc-pattern micro dots like the Shield RMSc and similar footprint optics will also fit. Just remove the rear cover plate and bolt your optic on.
